Summary: This year there will be a lot of responsibility placed upon us. In order for us to be strong enough to handle the pressure, in other words, to be on top of our game and not drop the ball, we must take the first few weeks of January to become whole by not just repairing the cracks in our shells (Cancer) but by fortifying them and building up our defenses. A good way to speed up this healing process is rather than focus on the inner emotional and mental states to instead make it our New Year's intention to focus on their outward physical expressions such as in our body and/or immediate environment because these are a direct reflection of those emotional and the mental states. In other words, take the opposite, indirect approach. For example, in my case, since I am depressed, disappointed and sad on the inside, this shows on the outside through the disorder in my living environment. Therefore, a good way to facilitate my healing is to bring order to my surroundings. Interestingly, in the Lenormand, the card that represents Cancer is the House which also represents wholeness and one's immediate environment ;-) I am likely also suffering from some nutritional deficiencies because I haven't been putting my needs (including my dietary ones) first. Cancer also rules how we use food to nurture. Let's make it our intention to nurture ourselves! For each of us it will be slightly different. This full moon will likely highlight the area that needs mending.
